Striker Julian Draxler admitted that he moved to the Qatari Championship from PSG for the sake of money.
“I would be lying if I said that the financial part was not decisive in this case. Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that the new financial structure would give me more opportunities,” Bild quotes Draxler as saying.
Qatar’s Al Ahly announced the signing of Draxler on September 18. The agreement between the club and the German is valid until 2025.
Last season, the footballer played for Benfica on loan. He moved to the Parisian club in 2017.
Earlier it was reported that PSG striker Draxler arrived in Qatar to undergo a medical examination.
