At a meeting of the UN Security Council, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan called on the organization to send a mission to assess the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

In addition, according to the agency, the minister called for the creation of “opportunities for the creation of UN-authorized peacekeeping forces to maintain stability and security in Nagorno-Karabakh.”
On the afternoon of September 20, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced an agreement on a complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh through the mediation of peacekeepers.
The Kremlin noted that many technical issues remain between Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the Karabakh agreement, but the parties have all the prerequisites for concluding it.
