This Thursday (21), the Fala! Festival returns to the Cais do Sertão Cultural Center, in Recife (PE), for its 4th edition, focusing on the dialogue between communication, culture and journalism. The event continues until Saturday (23) and features debate tables and workshops with local references in the three areas.
At its opening, a tribute will be paid to the Pernambuco poet Miró da Muribeca, who died in 2022. From 6:30 pm this Thursday, several artists and personalities such as the singer Isaar, the writer Odailta Alves, the illustrator Flavão and the entrepreneur Rosa Maria, owner from the Hotel Central, they will join journalist Pedro Lins to discuss Miró’s work. The night will end with a performance by Afoxé Omô Nilé Ogunjá.
Instituto Fala, a non-profit organization, is the host of this festival, which aims to promote cause-based journalism and create a space for meaningful discussions. The Festival Speaks! It is an opportunity to discuss the future of journalism and celebrate cultural diversity and popular knowledge.
