Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress Kevin McCarthy decided not to exclude $300 million intended for training the Ukrainian army.
This was reported by The Hill.
As noted in the material, he was guided by the fact that the bill on funding the State Department includes funds for Ukraine, and later the House of Representatives is expected to hold a single procedural vote on four bills on appropriations for the activities of various government agencies, including the State Department and the Pentagon.
Earlier, Punchbowl journalist Jake Sherman said that McCarthy would try to exclude $300 million intended for military training from the defense appropriations bill for the next fiscal year, which begins October 1.
