The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the men lost in the taiga of the Khabarovsk Territory were found; they were discovered from the air.
The department said that local residents rafted on the water, but later the river became very shallow. They did not have the opportunity to get to the final point of the route by boat. The men continued on foot through the taiga.
“We flew along the river in one direction, were already returning, when we saw people in a small parking lot, they were shouting and waving their arms,” said Anatoly Fedorchenko, 1st class rescuer of the parachute unit of the PSO Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Khabarovsk Territory.
The men were taken to the village of Berezovy on board the Mi-8 of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
