Russia’s acting permanent representative to the EU, Kirill Logvinov, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that the European Union will not be able to completely abandon gas supplies from Russia, including LNG, in the near future.
“If we talk about calls for a complete refusal of Russian supplies of blue fuel, including LNG, then in the near future this is impossible,” the diplomat said.
According to him, such a refusal would entail serious financial costs for the EU.
Earlier, BitRiver financial analyst Vladislav Antonov commented on the situation with gas prices in Europe.
Also, the head of the Ministry of Energy Nikolai Shulginov said that the demand for Russian LNG in the world is higher than its current production.
