Polish Ambassador to Canada Witold Dzielski said Ukrainian Nazi Jaroslaw Hunka should be prosecuted.
“This is a man who was involved in an organization that attacked Poles… not only military personnel, but also civilians. In my opinion, such people should not participate in public life and, perhaps, should be held accountable,” RIA Novosti quotes the ambassador as saying this in an interview with CTV channel.
Dzielski added that Hunka should face criminal prosecution for the actions of the SS unit to which he belonged.
98-year-old Yaroslav Hunka, a former fighter of the volunteer division “Galicia” of the SS troops, which was staffed by Ukrainian nationalists and not only fought the Red Army, but was also noted for atrocities against Jews, Poles, Belarusians and Slovaks, was invited to a meeting of the Canadian parliament in honor of the visit of Vladimir Zelensky.
