Serbian tennis player and world number one Novak Djokovic congratulated Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov on his victory at the tournament in Zhuhai.
“Bravo, brother!” — Djokovic wrote in the comments under Khachanov’s post about the victory.
The Russian beat the Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka with a score of 7:6, 6:1. The meeting lasted 1 hour 42 minutes. The 27-year-old Russian won his fifth ATP title and first since November 2018, when he won three tournaments of the organization – in Paris, Moscow and Marseille. Khachanov ranks 15th in the world rankings.
Earlier, Honored Coach of Russia Viktor Yanchuk spoke about Khachanov’s victory in the final of the tournament in Zhuhai.
