Gastroenterologist of JSC “Medicine” (clinic of Academician Roitberg), Doctor of Medical Sciences Vladimir Neronov, said that cucumbers are good for health, as they contain a lot of water and fiber.
In a conversation with RIAMO, the expert noted that cucumbers also contain potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and vitamin C.
According to Neronov, for a healthy person, eating fresh tomatoes in moderation is healthy and desirable. They are rich in vitamins A and C, as well as antioxidants.
In addition, the expert spoke about the beneficial properties of potatoes, which contain a lot of starch and fiber, and onions, which contain antioxidants and flavonoids.
Earlier, endocrinologist, member of the Russian Association of Endocrinologists, Viktor Zhilyaev, in an interview with NSN, said that at the moment there are no studies that would prove the direct effect of COVID-19 on the development of obesity.
