On strike for more than a week, workers in the Public Policy and Educational Management (PPGE) category will hold a general meeting this Thursday morning (28). The meeting will take place in front of the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District (CLDF) and aims to evaluate the progress of the strike, debate the actions and the movement’s next strategies.
“We are at a crucial moment in our mobilization, and the presence and participation of everyone is of utmost importance”, said, in a statement, the Union of Workers in Public Schools in the Federal District (SAE-DF), for the call for employees.
“We count on the engagement, commitment and unity of all professionals so that we can further strengthen our fight, assert our rights and seek the answers and solutions that our category deserves”, added the SAE Convocation. The Union also highlights the importance of employees’ participation in the meeting.
Striking civil servants demand equality with their teaching career. The category claims that there was a commitment from the government to promote equality in relation to teachers in the incorporation of bonuses into salaries, but in August the GDF sent a Bill to the Legislature to reformulate only the careers of teachers.
