Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said that the department plans to begin labeling cosmetics and household chemicals.
Manturov said this during a meeting of government members with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, at the moment we can say with confidence that the labeling institution has taken place.
He added that the Ministry of Industry and Trade is conducting experiments to expand labeling.
“And in the near future we plan to extend the tool to optical fiber, electronics, drugs and animal feed, vegetable oils, cosmetics, and household chemicals,” RIA Novosti quotes Manturov.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade stated that mandatory labeling of caviar could be launched from April 1, 2024.
