Two-time world figure skating champion Evgenia Medvedeva told how she survived the death of her grandmother.
“Two years ago my grandmother passed away, and something inside me broke. I had to perform the day after the funeral with this pain, because my grandmother was such… was… a fan of figure skating,” Medvedeva said on her YouTube channel.
She noted that her grandmother took notes on the skaters’ performances and then showed them to her granddaughter. The athlete also admitted that she cried after the performance, but the audience at the show thought that these were tears of happiness.
Let us remind you that Evgenia is a second generation figure skater; her mother also practiced this sport, but due to injury she ended her career early.
