The points of view of the US State Department and the Pentagon on the issue of arms supplies to Ukraine do not coincide, the Politico newspaper reports, citing sources.
“A senior administration official indicated that the State Department and the Pentagon are moving at different speeds based on differing viewpoints,” the story said.
It is noted that the Pentagon’s approach to providing assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is more cautious.
Earlier, the US Senate proposed agreeing on $4.5 billion from the Pentagon to help Ukraine in the short term instead of the $24 billion requested by the White House.
Member of the House of Representatives of the American Congress Marjorie Taylor Greene said that assistance to Ukraine leads to the financing of Nazism.
