Russian esports athletes did not receive prize money from Epic Games for winning the European grand finals of Fortnite Champion Series Major 3: Chapter 4 Season 3.
In August, Russians Daniil Rutrick Abdrakhmanov and Egor Swizzy Lyutsiko won the major. The main prize was $200 thousand.
According to Putrick, he did not violate the terms of the tournament and played not from Russia, but from Belarus. The athlete repeatedly contacted Epic Games support, but did not receive a clear answer. He was also disqualified from the FNCS Copenhagen lan tournament.
Abdrakhmanov noted that his bank account is maintained in Kazakhstan, which is not on the list of prohibited ones. Epic Games has not yet commented on its refusal.
