A delegation from the federal government will be in Lajeado, in Vale do Taquari, this Thursday (28). The program includes a series of work meetings to address issues such as credit, social development, Food Acquisition Program (PAA), Rural Development, urban and rural housing, among others. On the occasion, announcements will be made of new support measures from the Lula government for municipalities affected by the extratropical cyclone, the rains and floods that shook the region this month.

The group will be composed of ministers Paulo Pimenta, from the Secretariat of Social Communication; Waldez Góes, Integration and Regional Development; Paulo Teixeira, from Agrarian Development and Family Farming; and Wellington Dias, from Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight Against Hunger.
National secretaries, technical teams and directors from various ministries and federal bodies will also be in Lajeado. The delegation includes representatives from Banco do Brasil, BNDES, Caixa Econômica Federal, Conab, National Civil Defense and the departments of Health, Education, Defense, Finance, Cities, Agriculture and Livestock, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Development, Industry and Commerce, Culture and National Water Agency.
Six meetings at Univates
The delegation will have six meetings, all at the University of Vale do Taquari (Univates). Working meetings will take place in the main auditorium of the university library with the participation of ministers and technical teams. In auditorium 1 of the library, thematic meetings will be held with national secretaries and technical teams. Meanwhile, the university theater will host the main meeting with the participation of the entire delegation for presentations and announcements.

9:30 am: Meeting on credit measures;
11am: Meeting on Social Development, Food Acquisition Program (PAA) and Rural Development
10:30 am: Meeting on Education, Health and Social Assistance
11:30 am: Meeting about My Home, My Life – Urban and Rural
12:30 pm: Meeting on Agriculture and Social Movements
1pm – Final meeting for review, announcements and referrals
At 3:30 pm, there will be a press conference, taking place at the Caixa Econômica Federal branch.
