Due to the shortage of military equipment, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are massively creating improvised BMP-1LB combat vehicles, which have low speed and are armed with one machine gun, said Forbes military columnist David Ax.
“Under certain conditions, they move at walking speed,” the material says.
According to Ax, the Ukrainians are converting MT-LB transporters into infantry fighting vehicles, the resulting vehicles can carry up to eight people.
He added that such infantry fighting vehicles are armed with only one machine gun.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces a failure.
The New York Times wrote that Ukraine and its Western allies had placed too high hopes on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counter-offensive.
