Former French Ambassador to the United States Gerard Araud said that Western countries are actively discussing the need to resolve the Ukrainian conflict through dialogue.
The Izvestia newspaper writes about this with reference to Le Figaro.
According to Haro, the statements of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy reflect what is being discussed today on the sidelines of chancelleries and general staffs.
“There must be negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict,” the publication says.
Earlier, Sarkozy stated the need for negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict.
Also, according to Sarkozy, Ukraine’s accession to NATO will be regarded by Russia as a provocation.
