Russian Ambassador to Rome Alexey Paramonov said in an interview with RIA Novosti that Italy indirectly became a participant in the Ukrainian conflict on the side of the Kyiv regime.
“Alas, like the rest of NATO countries, the Italian Republic indirectly became a participant in the Ukrainian conflict on the side of Vladimir Zelensky,” the diplomat said.
According to him, the damage to bilateral relations between Russia and Italy “has been enormous.”
At the same time, Paramonov added that, despite the “dramatic moment” in relations between the two countries, the point of no return has not yet been passed.
Earlier, the head of the Italian Ministry of Defense, Guido Crosetto, said that the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine should be combined with the search for peaceful solutions to the Ukrainian conflict.
