This Friday morning (29), the Federal Police (PF) executed a search and seizure warrant against retired general Ridauto Lúcio Fernandes, in Brasília. He is accused of participating in the coup acts that culminated in the invasion and vandalism of the Três Poderes buildings on January 8.
Fernandes, who also had assets and values blocked, was director of Logistics at the Ministry of Health between July 2021 and December 2022, during the General Eduardo Pazuello administration.

The 18th phase of Operation Lesa Pátria was authorized by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and targets Bolsonaro supporters who effectively participated, financed and were the intellectual authors of the acts. Fernandes is considered, in the investigation, to be the executor and possibly one of the creators of the acts.
The coup plotters are accused of the following crimes: attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, qualified damage, criminal association, incitement to crime and destruction of specially protected property. According to the PF, it is estimated that the damage caused to public buildings by the scammers could reach around R$40 million.

The PF also reported that “investigations remain ongoing, and Operation Lesa Pátria becomes permanent, with periodic updates on the number of court warrants issued, people captured and fugitives”.
