The International Football Federation (FIFA) may allow Russian teams of players under 17 years of age to participate in international tournaments under its auspices.
Sky News reports this.
In February 2022, the International Football Federation and UEFA suspended Russian teams from participating in tournaments due to the situation in Ukraine.
On September 26, 2023, the UEFA Executive Committee made a proposal to admit the Russian junior team to international competitions. At the same time, the organization stated that they would not allow other Russian teams to participate in the tournaments until the end of the special military operation.
Earlier, UEFA apologized for the proposal to admit Russian youth teams.
