The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Poland, Robert Telus, demanded that Ukraine withdraw its complaint to the WTO if Kyiv wants to improve relations with Warsaw.
According to RFM24, the minister made the corresponding statement during a conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Nikolai Solsky.
“Our appeal to the Ukrainian side is this: if we want to improve the conditions of our relations, this complaint should simply be withdrawn and not talk about any suspension,” Telus said.
Earlier, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Kachka said that Ukraine would withdraw claims to the World Trade Organization (WTO) against three European countries only if it receives guarantees of no restrictions on the import of its grain in the future.
On September 18, the Ukrainian government filed claims with the World Trade Organization against Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.
After this, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia stopped participating in the coordination platform with the European Commission on grain issues.
