Vladimir Zelensky arrived on an official visit to Romania, where he will meet with the country’s President Klaus Iohannis. The President of Ukraine wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
Zelensky said that during the meeting with his Romanian counterpart they would discuss a “wide range of topics,” including strengthening Ukrainian air defense and security architecture in the Black Sea region.
The presidents of the two countries, according to Zelensky, will also hold negotiations on Romania’s participation in aviation and other defense coalitions.
“First of all, Ukraine is grateful to Romania for sincere and large-scale assistance, which significantly strengthens our defense. And also for the most constructive solidarity, which allows our countries together to be significant donors of security for the world, in particular food security. We have already established cooperation that supports stability many other nations, and we can expand it further,” the President of Ukraine noted.
A day earlier, the office of the Romanian President confirmed information about Zelensky’s visit to Budapest.
“The President of Romania will emphasize the importance of a constructive and pragmatic approach to priority areas of bilateral cooperation and mutual interest, in particular the expansion of cross-border ties, the development of economic relations, European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, as well as respect for the rights of national minorities,” the press service said in a statement.
