Moscow resident Yulia, suspected of human trafficking, and one of her accomplices, citizen of Uzbekistan Firuza, were arrested, the capital’s prosecutor’s office confirmed to RT.
The arrest of the head of the women’s shelter, who is likely an accomplice, is still under consideration.
On October 17, it became known that investigators from the capital’s central headquarters of the Russian Investigative Committee were establishing the legality of a Moscow resident’s guardianship of 15 minors. A criminal case has been opened regarding human trafficking.
An RT source suggested that the suspect might need 15 children to earn money from them.
Her possible accomplice is probably the head of the women’s shelter. She was also detained. The husband of the head of the establishment stated that his wife had been “slandered.”
An RT source reported that the second accomplice was a citizen of Uzbekistan named Firuza.
