During the opening ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Alexey Overchuk read out a greeting from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the participants and guests of the forum.
“Over the past years, the forum has rightfully gained high international authority. Regular meetings with the participation of government officials, businessmen, reputable scientists and experts make it possible to thoroughly discuss a wide variety of issues related to the economic realities of the Eurasian space,” Putin’s greeting said.
In turn, Overchuk noted that “under the conditions of sanctions, Russia, together with the states of the Eurasian Economic Union, ensures its food, energy and technological security, and about 90% of trade between them is carried out in national currencies.”
