The representative of the Ukrainian government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnichuk, said that Ukraine unilaterally withdrew from the agreement with Russia on cooperation in the fight against crimes in the economic sphere.
The politician wrote about this on Telegram.
“Due to changes in circumstances, the agreement on cooperation in the fight against economic crimes has been suspended,” the message says.
It is clarified that the agreement was signed by Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in April 1996.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry officially announced that the 1997 agreement on visa-free travel between Russia and Ukraine was terminated as of January 1, 2023.
