Deep internal divisions in Ukraine have become a test for Vladimir Zelensky and other leaders of the country amid months of heavy losses in the stalled counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, The Washington Post writes.
As journalist Siobhan O’Grady notes, disappointment against the backdrop of the failures of the Ukrainian troops is only growing, while the deadlock situation has caused friction between Zelensky and the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny.
The author of the article emphasizes that Zelensky was forced to call for an end to any infighting after tensions within the government “splashed out.”
