The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry plane, carrying several dozen Russians evacuated from the Gaza Strip, landed at Domodedovo Airport, Interfax reported, citing the ministry’s press service on Monday.
Earlier it was reported that a special flight of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, carrying 70 Russians, took off from Cairo to Moscow during the day.
Last Sunday, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with Russian diplomats, organized work to evacuate Russian citizens from the Gaza Strip. Over the course of two days, a total of almost 170 Russian citizens crossed the Rafah checkpoint.
According to the latest data from various sources, as a result of the Hamas attack in Israel, between 1,200 and 1,400 people were killed, including 23 Russians. Israeli retaliatory strikes on the Gaza Strip have killed more than 11,000 people. The number of wounded on both sides exceeded thirty thousand. Hamas continues to hold hostage some 240 people captured on the day of its October 7 invasion of Israel.
