An agreement between the management of Correios and the Interstate Federation of Postal Workers Unions (Findect), which represents the company’s workers in four states, put an end to the possibility of a strike by the category this week in which e-commerce is dedicated. to Black Friday, with lots of promotions and high demand for deliveries.
Late in the afternoon of last Wednesday (22), the company’s management sent the federation an addendum to the contract with adjustments to the wording of 12 clauses of the collective bargaining agreement, including the incorporation into the base salary of the linear adjustment of R $250 awarded to professionals. This was one of the main points of impasse between Correios and Findect.
Still on Wednesday, workers in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Maranhão and Tocantins approved in assemblies the signing of the agreement with the additive terms. São Paulo professionals had a meeting scheduled for this Thursday (23), but Findect told Brasil de Fato that the orientation would be to approve the agreement and, consequently, the suspension of the possibility of strike.
In addition to adjusting the wording of the clauses that caused disagreement between management and worker representation, the amendment to the collective agreement guarantees that workers who make deliveries on foot work in the morning. The measure was authorized “in an exceptional and temporary way” due to the high temperatures.
The formalization of the new agreement between Correios and Findect should take place next Tuesday (28), in a virtual meeting with representatives of both parties, but the determinations set out in the new addendum are already in effect.
