The Union of Road Carriers of Slovakia announced the plans of members of the association to block the checkpoint on the border with Ukraine from December 1 if there is no progress in restoring the permit system for Ukrainian carriers.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to a statement from the union.
“If there is no progress in finding a solution, the Union of Road Carriers of Slovakia intends to block the Vysne Nemecke – Uzhgorod crossing from December 1, 2023,” notes a letter sent to a large Slovak association of road carriers.
Earlier, Ukraine called on Poland to unblock the border for trucks.
Also, the mayor of Lvov, Andrei Sadovoy, demanded that Poland end the “shameful blockade” and “return to reality.”
