Russian troops shelled the village of Sadovoe in the Kherson region, killing a 78-year-old man, the regional military administration reports.
The village was shelled at approximately 11:20 from the occupied part of the Kherson region; one of the shells hit a private garage where a man was located. He suffered a blast injury and died on the spot.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into violation of the laws and customs of war, which is connected with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code), the prosecutor’s office said.
After de-occupation in the fall of 2022, the Russian military regularly shells the Kherson region. Over the past 24 hours, according to the regional administration, 76 attacks were carried out from mortars, artillery, Grads, tanks, aircraft and drones.
The Russian military struck residential areas of settlements in the region, the territory of a plant in Kherson and the power grid in the Kherson region, the report said.
